Under supervision, this position is responsible for all cash posting and reconciliation of funds received by HID Global to the proper general ledger accounts.  This job is to be performed in accordance with the established company policies and department guidelines while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction, accuracy and in conformity with all applicable state and federal laws.

As our Cash Applications Coordinator, you’ll support HID’s success by:  

 

  • Working in ERP system environment to apply customer payments via Oracle ERP System.
  • Posting Daily lockbox, EFT/ACH and manual remittance deposits to customer accounts.
  • Transferring daily lockbox files from bank interface for automated payment application.
  • Performing timely and accurate application of daily receipts and reconcile cash balance to general ledger daily.
  • Processing adjustments (as needed) while posting cash receipts (ex. Discounts).
  • Resolving cash application issues presented by internal sources such as IT, customer service, accounting, and collections.  Communicate resolution to requestor
  • Being responsible for cash applications, cash receipt, reconciliation, and intercompany cash transfers.
  • Working with Accounts Receivable and Finance teams in researching unapplied cash amounts so that unapplied cash can be kept to a minimum.
  • Working with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve customer payment discrepancies.
  • Collaborating with staff accountants to balance payments posted and deposits made with the goal of ensuring timely and accurate bank reconciliations.

  • Generally, works independently within established procedures associated with this job function.
  • 3 to 5 years of cash applications responsibilities including the application of receipts and researching variances.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting – debit and credit entries.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent business decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals in other departments.

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

 

  • AA in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with Oracle or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiar with HighRadius is highly desirable.
