What you will be doing:
We’re looking for a driven and adaptable Business Development Executive to join our high-performing sales team. In this role, you will spearhead our outbound efforts, strategically connect with potential clients, and qualify opportunities to grow SiteOwl’s customer base. While initially focused on business development efforts, this position is about developing the foundation for transitioning to a full-cycle sales position ideally within 6-9 months.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, and thrives in fast-moving environments. You’ll need to think on your feet, creatively organize your outreach, and operate independently while collaborating closely with the broader GTM team.
Key areas you will contribute to in the role include:
- Identify and engage new prospective enterprise security teams and security integrators that align with our Ideal Customer Profile.
- Respond to, engage, and qualify leads from outbound marketing campaigns, tradeshows, web inquiries plus maintain relationships with existing contacts within the CRM.
- Understand our platform offer and be able to identify and speak to how SiteOwl addresses prospects' needs.
- Collaborate with the greater GTM team and continually provide front-line insights to evolve our approach to outreach.
- Shadow our sales team throughout the sales process to accelerate your development and prepare you for a full-cycle role at SiteOwl.

- The ability to work autonomously with limited oversight and supervision.
- Comfort with a fast-moving startup environment.

- Strong organizational skills.
- A high degree of empathy and employment of active listening skills.
- Ability to travel (up to 40%) and meet to the requirements of customers.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of materials for presentations.
Education and/or experience:
- Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business development role focused on outbound pipeline generation.
- Experience using a CRM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- At least one year of experience in a full-cycle sales role desired but not required.
- Experience with Zoho CRM desired but not required.
- Experience with technology sales and/or the security industry desired but not required.
