Our ASSA ABLOY Southeast Service Center or regional manufacturing facility located in Austell, Georgia is looking to add a Shipping Coordinator to our team.

What would you do as our Shipping Coordinator?
In this position, you will help to manage the workflow between our warehouse, vendors, and customers. You will be the liaison between all parties ensuring that deliveries are accurate and are being consistently made on-time, as we work to meet the needs of our customers.
You would also:
- Schedule outbound LTL shipments to customers and/or job sites
- Create packing lists and BOL (Bill of Lading)
- Schedule incoming intercompany truck deliveries and provide direction to the warehouse leads
- Verify production schedules will meet customer expectations
- Complete daily invoicing for shipped orders
- Log and track all incoming orders, notifying Customer Service of any order issue(s) which may affect delivery dates
- Create an on-going log to track and maintain all backorders, shipping errors, warranty issues, and/or customer complaints, with the purpose of reducing these issues
- Issue all Regulatory Agency labels, as required
- Maintain customer files
- Perform other duties and special projects as required
- Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
- Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience you need:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of logistics experience within a shipping, receiving, manufacturing or distribution environment
- Previous experience in load building, multi-truck stop utilizing a zone shipping schedule, as well as dealing directly with distributors and understanding their needs
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills including email, Microsoft Suite, JDE or other MRP systems
- Comfortable using basic math skills
