We are growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join us! We are currently recruiting for a Shipping Lead for our regional manufacturing facility located in Aurora, CO.

 

What would you do as our Shipping Lead?

Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor,  you will play a critical role in leading the day-to-day operations of our shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that the product is dispatched in a timely manner to meet customer demands while maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

 

You would also:

  • Lead and coordinate S/R activities in a timely manner and support inventory processes to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Review incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and acceptable quality.
  • Unload trucks and move materials to proper storage areas in a safe and secure manner using a forklift, electric or manual pallet jack.
  • Provide training and/or guidance on processes and procedures to full-time and temporary team Members in assigned area(s).
  • Utilize ERP system and other company systems to perform work duties.
  • Create and file proper documentation.
  • Determine best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments to ensure information is correct (count, weight, reject damaged items, record shortages, correspond with carrier to rectify damages and/or shortages, etc.). Verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Work with 3rd Party Logistics companies to clear shipments from customers and troubleshoot any shipment issues that may arise.
  • Work with Customer Service team to provide shipment and tracking information.
  • Communicate and work with the Production Department on all related matters.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Keep area of responsibility clean and organized.
  • Work with Ops Supervisor to ensure we are maximizing warehouse layout and space to work most efficiently.
  • Enforce safety protocols and promote environmental, health, and safety philosophies.
  • Assist with monitoring and helping  to control operational costs, including labor, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Regularly required to; walk and hear, lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

 The Skills and Experience you need:

  • Minimum of 3 recent years of experience in a lead or senior shipping/receiving or warehouse role.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks under tight time deadlines minimizing disruptions.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.

PAY RANGE: Up to $26/Hour.

Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors including but not limited to; the individual’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
