About the Role

We are seeking a Specification Writer to join our ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions New Zealand team in Auckland. This role is responsible for producing accurate and compliant door and hardware specifications, schedules, and quotations, while providing technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will work closely with sales teams, architects, and builders to ensure all specifications meet New Zealand building codes, standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare door and hardware specifications, schedules, and quotations
  • Interpret architectural drawings and construction documentation
  • Ensure compliance with NZ building codes, standards, and fire requirements
  • Provide technical support to sales teams, architects, and contractors
  • Support the use of ASSA ABLOY Openings Studio (AAOS) and related systems
  • Maintain accurate project and opportunity data in CRM (Dynamics 365)

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in door hardware, architectural specifications, or a related technical role
  • Strong technical understanding of door hardware and architectural documentation
  • Ability to research and write clear, accurate technical documentation
  • Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience using specification software, CRM, or similar systems
  • GAI or DHI qualifications preferred but not essential
