About The Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Retail & Locksmith Sales Representative to join the team, based in Auckland, covering South Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Reporting to the Retail & Locksmith Sales Director, you will be the principal point of contact for a broad and diverse customer base. We want to partner with our customers to support mutually beneficial growth and our sales team are the key to realising these outcomes. The role will be responsible for developing relationships and market presence to increase ASSA ABLOY's share of the door and window hardware market, supporting the company’s strategic priorities.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop and implement a call programme to ensure regular contact with customers, with focus on large and growth accounts.

  • Influence customer buying decisions by ensuring they have the necessary information about product specification and product range.

  • Contribute and deliver on strategic objectives through your team and region

  • Gather, analyse, and provide feedback on market and customer trends (ad-hoc and through monthly reports).

  • Maintain territory information utilising a CRM (including, sales calls, contacts, call notes and ISP categories).

  • Maintain project/opportunity information utilising a CRM (including, but not limited to, product, value, end user details and timeframes)

  • Stay updated with industry trends, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies.

 

You will be accountable for achieving Retail & Locksmith team targets in relation to:

 

  • Sales budget

  • Increased sales of strategic product categories

  • Market share and penetration

  • Successful promotion and launch of new products

  • Customer satisfaction and relationships

About you:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant sales work experience

  • Experience in the retail hardware and/or locksmith industry preferred

  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build effective relationships

  • Customer focused and committed to providing a high quality of service

  • Experience in reviewing sales data and identifying insights

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Self-motivated and possess a continuous improvement mindset
