About The Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Product Manager – Smart Residential based in our Auckland office. Reporting to the Marketing & Customer Excellence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development and success of our product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product strategies, drive product opportunities, and ensure our products' successful launch and adoption in the market.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to understand new global technologies and combine these with future market trends to generate meaningful strategies that deliver against business and customer objectives.
  • Create NZ market-specific Business Cases for Gateway and deliver at Product Council review.
  • Generation planning for the NZ market.
  • Lead post-launch presentation and data analysis.
  • Develop and deliver training content.
  • In-life management projects - ensure market needs are represented on all portfolio-relevant VA/VE, supply chain savings, marketing, pricing, and quality improvement projects.
  • End-of-life management projects – identify, plan, execute and communicate cross-function product end-of-life activities.
  • Liaising with Product Development on the development of accurate instructions, technical drawings, and installation data.
  • Manage sourced product introduction into the NZ market, including product verification and literature material.
  • Monitor relevant market activity in the form of addressable market size and active and possible trends.

 

About You

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in Engineering, Product Management, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technology concepts, including IoT (Internet of Things) devices, wireless communication protocols, and mobile applications.
  • Proven experience in new product innovations in an engineering and manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills, results–driven approach to product management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proficient numerical and statistical analysis abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to identify opportunities for improvement.
