About the Role
As our IT Service Delivery Lead / Systems Administrator, you'll be the key technology partner for our New Zealand operations, supporting both ASSA ABLOY New Zealand Opening Solutions and Pacific Door Systems. You'll lead the delivery and continuous improvement of IT services, ensure infrastructure and cybersecurity standards are maintained, and help translate regional technology strategies into practical local outcomes.
Working closely with business leaders, regional IT teams, vendors and end users, you'll play an important role in keeping technology reliable, secure and aligned to business needs while contributing to projects that support growth and operational efficiency.
What you'll be responsible for
You'll lead a diverse portfolio of operational and strategic IT responsibilities, including:
- Driving the delivery and continuous improvement of IT services across New Zealand operations.
- Partnering with business leaders to align technology priorities with operational objectives.
- Managing and maintaining server, cloud, network and infrastructure environments to ensure reliability and performance.
- Coordinating the resolution of incidents, service requests and complex technical issues across multiple support teams.
- Leading local technology projects including infrastructure upgrades, system deployments and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Monitoring service performance, identifying recurring issues and implementing sustainable improvement plans.
- Overseeing security patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure risk management activities.
- Building strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to maximise service quality, value and business outcomes.
About You
You're a confident technology professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on technical work. You build credibility quickly, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and thrive in environments where priorities can shift. You're naturally collaborative, commercially minded and motivated by improving services, solving problems and delivering practical outcomes for the business.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in IT service delivery, systems administration or infrastructure support within a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate IT initiatives, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune and Azure environments.
- Experience supporting server, network, cloud and end-user technologies.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Exposure to IT service management practices including incident, problem and change management.
- Experience using service management platforms such as ServiceNow or similar tools.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.
