About the role – Factory Hand/ Operator Assembler

The successful candidate if responsible for assembling Auto Door Operators & Door Systems as specified, ensuring quality product plus the assembly of ancillary products. Maintain local databases to provide traceability of products. Use online booking systems to dispatch freight. Observe stock levels and advice of pending shortages for ordering. Perform other duties as required.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the role is responsible for:

  • Cut and assemble operators and door systems as specified on the order forms.
  • Program operator controllers and test as standard and specified.
  • Maintain and increase the quality of factory production.
  • Complete all paperwork associated with the manufacture of operators and parts by uploading stock/parts into IFS for specific jobs.
  • Subject to factory workload, assist with the Installation of New Equipment when required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Attention to details and quality control.
  • Proficiency with MS office and the ability to adapt to new software programmes.
  • Proficiency with several types of power, hydraulic and hand tools
  • Use machinery in a safe manner paying attention to all hazards.
