Business Development Manager

 

About the role

We’re looking for an energetic and driven Business Development Manager – Architectural to join our Auckland team. Reporting to the Architectural Channel Manager, you will focus on building relationships with architects, contractors, consultants, and end-users across the commercial construction lifecycle.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Generating profitable and sustainable sales growth through specification.

  • Developing strong relationships with architects, contractors, consultants, and key influencers.

  • Using CRM and construction intelligence tools to build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.

  • Ensuring compliance and engagement on submitted specifications.

  • Gathering and sharing market insights to support strategy and innovation.

  • Providing technical product support to customers and delivering industry training.

  • Representing ASSA ABLOY at industry events, functions, and networking opportunities.

Skills and experience

We’d love to hear from you if you bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management.

  • Background in architectural, design & build, or commercial construction industries.

  • Understanding of design software and processes.

  • Knowledge of door hardware or related building products (desirable).

  • Strong communication, relationship building, and influencing skills.

  • A growth mindset with perseverance, adaptability, and integrity.
