ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join the team. Based in Auckland, the key focus of the role is the provision of all transactions for AR; providing general administration tasks and main banks reconciliations.

The role contributes to the profitability by ensuring customer payments are received in good time and bad debts are minimised.

Key responsibilities include:

Accounts Receivable processing: (40%)

  • Handle daily banking transaction.
  • Allocate payment allocation according to received remittances.
  • Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts and disputes.
  • Process General Ledger journals.
  • Orders on Hold required to be assessed, released or follow up customers.

Financial Reporting and Tax Requirements (30%)

  • File indirect taxes (PAYE) before due date and process weekly/monthly payroll journals.
  • Prepare payroll payment in the bank and related IRD payroll payment.
  • Intercompany/division recharge and allocation; process intercompany agreement (ICT) AR in HFM.
  • Completing assigned balance sheet reconciliation in FloQast on time.

 

 

Banking Process and other duties as directed: (30%)

  • Maintain overall bank reconciliation responsibilities.
  • Loading USD and CNY payment in SEB bank.
  • Treasury funding: ensure both USD and CNY bank have sufficient funds to meet business needs.
  • Other tasks from time to time allocated by Finance Director when required.

 

ABOUT YOU

      The ideal candidate will be results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be a team player who proudly boasts accuracy and exceptional attention to detail as a strength. Further, you will have demonstrated:

  • Relevant degree or at least 2 years’ experience as a qualified accountant and understand corporate reporting deadline.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and basic tax requirement (Income tax, FBT, GST,etc).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with D365 will be an advantage.
  • Experience working with foreign currency.
