Department and the Team: 

This position will be a part of our Extended Access Technologies (EAT) business within HID Global. The EAT business offers a broad range of biometric technologies that benefit any transaction requiring irrefutable proof of identity — such as access control, customer onboarding, fraud prevention, loss prevention, time and attendance, forensic investigation, background checks, border security and government benefit issuance.


This is an individual contributor role reporting in the Senior Director, Product and Solutions Team.  You will be a part of a small team and play a significant role in being the voice of the customer, driving innovation for the Biometrics portfolio. 


As our Senior Product Marketing Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Providing expert understanding of the Biometric Business Unit market and creating a vision and strategy for how the business unit can grow its share of the market, including public biometric hardware, software and solutions for fingerprint, Iris and facial biometric offerings.
  • Defining the markets and targeting end users to be served by the product portfolio.
  • Identifying product gaps and providing suggestions with business reasons to be included in the overall product road maps.
  • Creating and building key parts of the product roadmap based on key market trends and compelling opportunities that differentiates HID Global as a market leader, establishing key KPI’s to drive the business.
  • Being the voice of the customer in driving innovation for the Biometric business unit portfolio, translating that knowledge into an executable GTM strategy. 
  • Representing the HID Biometric Business Unit as product expert at industry, channel, supplier, and customer events.
  • Partnering with sales, product management, engineering, and sales operations teams to ensure that HID Global is addressing all sales enablement needs of the business unit.
  • Operating programs within specified plans & budgets while ensuring strict compliance and financial controls.
  • Developing and implementing sales enablement programs and sales tools that support the selling process of the portfolio. This includes close cooperation with marketing communication on messaging, positioning, and creating content (presentations, website, videos, blogs, white papers, and other collateral) to support key go-to-market strategies, as a subject matter expert.
  • Building out competitive analysis tools and resources.

  • Proven ability to understand market needs and come up with go-to-market strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing communications and sales on outbound marketing details.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to evangelize the message.
  • Experience in guiding cross-functional teams to a precise understanding of product decisions with resulting impact.
  • Experience in analytics gathering and interpreting results into meaningful reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully launch products and services globally.
  • Experience in managing a hardware portfolio with associated S/W (SDKs, Drivers, application, and cloud technologies).
  • Expertise in the identity, security, and biometrics industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications, CRM, and Financial Reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%, including international travel may be required.


Your Experience and Education include:          

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Computer Science or Technology degree a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years in a related product marketing position in the identity and security markets industry highly preferred.
