HID Global acquired Crossmatch Technologies in September 2018.  This position supports business development efforts for biometric solutions that were formerly provided by Crossmatch Technologies.


This role and Crossmatch Technologies are a part of our Extended Access Technologies (EAT) business, within HID Global, located in the DC Metro area.  The EAT business offers a broad range of biometric technologies that benefit any transaction requiring irrefutable proof of identity — such as access control, customer onboarding, fraud prevention, loss prevention, time and attendance, criminal enrolment, background checks, border security and government benefit issuance.


This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President, Biometrics Sales, North America, which reports into the Managing Director / Head of the EAT business.  You will be part of a close-knit team with high visibility and impact.


As a Business Development Director, you’ll support HID’s success by:


  • Creating optimum Federal agency contacts to insure positive influence of the Federal government requirement generation and procurement processes.
  • Developing and implementing a business plan for Federal market opportunities.
  • Establishing presence in Washington, D.C. to grow relationships with end user organizations, major federal contractors and resellers.
  • Working effectively with Solution Engineering team to define customer operational requirements and create solution configurations.
  • Coordinating with marketing team in demonstrating technology solutions at trade shows.
  • Identifying, establishing, and maintaining strong relationships with partners, systems integrators and resellers, particularly targeting partners with key contract vehicles.
  • Providing input to HID review process to move third party relationships and solutions through the toll gates as well as providing pricing recommendations based on market conditions and industry standards.
  • Leading capture efforts and orchestrating complex federal RFI and RFP responses.


What we will love about your background: 


  • Biometric industry experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of Federal government procurement processes essential.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Military / Government Civilian experience or direct sales experience with the federal government a plus.
  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, you must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.


Your Experience and Education include:   


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrated strategic selling or related activities highly preferred.
