Account Executive

Job Summary

Works with Key Decision Makers at assigned accounts (Big Box Retail) to develop and implement Pro account strategies to support Pfister growth at respective retailers.  Duties include account development, relationship building, working with outside sales teams to build new target leads, promotional strategy, executing market Pro events, and quoting respective projects to convert business.  Responsibilities also include strategic account planning, forecasting, demand planning, and driving overall customer profitability.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Management (50%)

  • Develop and execute high-impact sales strategies with Home Depot & Lowe’s PRO personnel to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Coordinate and manage in-store selling tools, training programs, and customer engagement events.
  • Partner with PRO Desks to provide competitive quotes through different sales platforms. 
  • Promote products tailored to PRO contractors, ensuring exceptional satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Sales team on in-store activities and the execution of special sales projects.
  • Work with the customer service team to manage best-in-class order management processes from purchase orders to product receipt, including credits and debits.
  • Educate outside sales reps on the Pfister Faucet line – kitchen/bath faucets, finishes, pricing tiers, matching accessories – so they can speak to it confidently with contractors
  • Join outside sales reps on contractor visits, job walks, and property management meetings to secure new business

 

Strategic Share Gain (30%)

  • Develop a targeted territory strategy focused on maximizing sales opportunities while retaining existing business.
  • Utilize cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, and Product Marketing) to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities to drive customer behavior and profitability.
  • Strengthen existing account relationships to drive upgrades and foster conversions from competitive products.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline focused on customer acquisition and brand loyalty.
  • Work with Pro Merchants on the Pfister program and develop strategies to grow sales.
  • Develop and execute trainings and lunch-and-learns on new finishes/collections and promotions.

 

Sales Reporting & Operations (20%)

  • Prepare and update weekly and monthly sales reports using Excel and PowerPoint, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.
  • Track win/lose on bids where Pfister was quoted vs competitors
  • Facilitate effective communication between field representatives, the sales office, and Lowe’s corporate teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide market feedback on competitive activity
  • Track orders and provide excellent customer service

 

Qualifications and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
  • Experience in account management and field sales.
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience working with retail big box accounts.

Work Environment:

  • This role is based from a home office with fieldwork required at least 4 days a week, primarily engaging with Retail PRO desk teams and retail environments. 
  • Expected travel 40%-50% of total time.
