ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions provides end users (healthcare facilities, schools, universities, military, commercial buildings, etc.) with unsurpassed security and life-safety solutions and the essential support services (LEED consultation, code compliance, access control system integration, product research and selection, specification writing services, technical support, etc.) to ensure well-functioning doorway systems in the commercial building industry. What you will be doing:
Provide professional consulting and in-field project support services to architectural, construction, and owner/end user clients with the objective of demand generation through promotion and implementation of ASSA ABLOY Openings Studio software platform and related professional services for design, specification, construction project management, and facility management.
Key areas you will contribute to the role include:
- Responsible for executing the Openings Studio/ Professional Services sales and marketing strategy, both internally within ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions organization and externally with service and software User Clients (architects, contractors, security consultants, end user facilities teams).
- Provide professional and knowledgeable consulting regarding professional services offering and Openings Studio software across the entire building construction and operational life cycle.
- Support an organizational wide, standardized process for integrated specification and project data management utilizing the Openings Studio software platform.
- Conduct targeted consulting and project support activities including:
- Promotion and implementation support of Openings Studio software platform and related consulting and field services to Architectural/Engineering/Construction firms during the planning, design, and construction process.
- Develop relationships with General Contractors promote and manage implementation of professional services and software tools/content to assist with project design, specification, procurement, and construction management processes.
- Actively engaging with Security Consultant Firms to assist in production of EAC product selections, specifications, and elevation drawings.
- Collaborate with ASSA ABLOY Distribution Channel Partners during estimating, bidding, scheduling, installation, and project management. Support customers utilizing software applications integrated with Openings Studio.
- Promotion and implementation of professional services and Openings Studio software platform for Owners and End Users requiring new construction project design and construction assistance and support aftermarket facility management needs.
- Provide support for in-field and job-site professional services including, project "punch-out", construction project management, site surveys, opening inspections (fire, egress and life safety, security, other), and asset tagging.
- Identify and track potential clients and projects for consulting and professional services opportunities.
- Work in conjunction with the ASSA ABLOY Regional Architectural Directors and their respective consulting teams to maximize defined team goals for professional services and Openings Studio adoption and project implementation.
- Routinely interact and communicate with regional ASSA ABLOY Door Security Sales territories concerning joint initiatives, project tracking, sales presentations, training, and related marketplace strategies.
- Train and support external client users and ASSA ABLOY internal consultants on the usage and application of Openings Studio software and reporting.
- Provide support and feedback to the Openings Studio Software Development team regarding the performance, testing, maintenance, and future enhancements to the software platform.
What we are looking for:
- You have professional selling and demand generation skills; including proven presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- You are a self-starter and active listener with strong negotiation skills.
- You have the ability to read, interpret, and review CSI MasterFormat Division 08 architectural specifications and construction documents including, door schedules, hardware sets, floor plans, elevations, submittals, and shop drawings.
- You have an understanding of fire, life safety, accessibility, and model building codes in relation to door and hardware specifications.
- You are detail-orientated with strong analytical skills and follow-up habits.
- You have the ability to meet multiple project deadlines and exercise effective time management with on-time activity reporting.
- You are goal-orientated and results-driven.
- Ability to work and perform responsibilities in the field at construction site and end user facilities.
- Ability to travel upon request. Up to 50% travel ability required.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
Education and/or experience:
- Accredited college or university Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Preference for degree in industry-related program (Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Science and Management, or similar). High school diploma/GED required.
- Architectural and construction industry-related experience, including door and hardware applications and specifications and software training and support, is a plus.
- High level of proficiency with computer software applications including major Microsoft "Office Suite" programs. Above average working knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture® software preferred. Familiarity of Construction Management software applications a plus.

Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business requirements, geographic location and other business and organizational needs. This salary range is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting.
