What you would do as our Financial Controller

 

You would be first point of contact for Business Unit Manager in financial area and play proactive role in controlling the business performance and supporting the business to achieve targeted results.

 

You would also:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting processes for the business unit and control the company's costs, revenues and cash flows, including optimization proposals and tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency and ensure that sales and operations adhere to financial and legal requirements and ASSA ABLOY procedures and enforce that every part of the organization follows defined standards for processes and data management, resulting in reliable financial and reporting outcomes.
  • Manage working capital (e.g., inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable) to optimize cash flow and analyze aging of inventories and ensure its optimalization.
  • Be responsible for debt management and collections, and assessment of payment terms in our commercial contracts.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree in Economics or Finance, can be substituted by certified accountant or ACCA/CIMA/similar certification or extensive financial experience.
  • Has at least 2 years of experience in finance, international corporation is an advantage and has knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel at an advance level).
  • Has analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured personality.
  • Has capability to develop entrusted areas, being bold in pointing out the gaps in the processes across organization and initiate improvements resulting in better financial performance and has high ethical standards, acting trustworthy and transparently, with a clean criminal record in financial and business area and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Is fluent in Slovenian and an advanced level of English.
