The Lean Manager will be responsible to improve process flow in assembly, manufacturing, and other primary processes. Reporting to the Operations Manager, drive automation implementation, using Lean principles of Flow, TAKT, SMED, 5S and Value Analysis to reduce costs. Project manage manufacturing, associated projects including new factory layouts. Manage and communicate the data and KPI’s of the performance of the production and processes.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Carry out the study of the production flows.
- Define and implement all the changes and improvements to be applied, determining the best viability and profitability.
- Implementation of tools and KPI’s for Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen).
- Work with OEE/TPM/VAVE, regarding the improvement of the global processes and products.
- Coordinate methods and maintenance tasks related to Lean activities.
- Verifies that Lean ASSA ABLOY standards are applied in all sites.
- Work with production on cost reduction, productivity improvement, and study of new changes to optimize all the processes.
- Control of the investments of the Lean and Automation implemented projects or improved projects to guarantee an alignment of the expense with the result.
- Define and monitors the operational KPI’s needed to improve the OPEX rating in Lean categories.
- Develops the internal Lean training plan and trains the teams.
- Any other additional function necessary in direct relation to the job itself.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Academy requirement
- Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Train in Lean Management and Continuos Improvement tools.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
Languages:
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Decision making attitude.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Good sensitivity and concern for the sustainability issues
- Ability to work as a team
